End of Week 3 and reception at the town hall!
Sunday, July 6th, 11am
We're already one week away from leaving Saint-Brieuc, and we have kept quite busy in the past week!
On Thursday, we had classes and internet time. Then students mostly worked on their contributions to the program magazine, so that we could send it to print on Friday. We have amazing drawings, writings, and games among other things, and I'm sure the magazines will be fantastic souvenirs for our students!
On Friday, after classes, we had our final practice of singing the nationals anthems of the USA and France for the town hall reception. Then we put the final touches on the magazine and played games, some of which are becoming quite popular with students (mainly Loup-Garous)!
Then, we met students and their host families in the evening at the town hall. Everyone was looking very classy and we had the opportunity to visit the town hall. We saw the mayor's office and then we were received in the wedding hall. Three of our students gave a wonderful speech and we sang the national anthems, we took pictures, and enjoyed some refreshments. The Saint-Brieuc town hall is quite beautiful, especially the winter gardens, and students took a lot of pictures.
The beginning of the week will be fairly quiet, with the last days of classes and preparations for the farewell show and the trip to Paris! I will post again on Wednesday.
